International Workshop Espluga de Cuberes August 25th - September 6th

Living on the cliff. Analysis of troglodytic habitat and rural depopulation in the Mediterranean

The workshop will take place between August 25th and September 6th, Gerri de la Sal, Catalonia.

It is an immersive experience to experience first-hand the troglodytic habitat in the Mediterranean. It focuses on a unique case study, abandoned at the end of the 20th century, which will document, study and debate both a traditional typology and the phenomenon of rural depopulation.
The participants will have the opportunity to learn about a pioneering initiative and a working methodology to reinforce the heritage value and define alternatives for the preservation and revitalization of unique places.
RehabiMed’s extensive experience in practical training tasks in the Mediterranean will allow the creation of an interdisciplinary work team with university professors, local experts and young professionals from various fields
countries, with a common objective.
