Conference on the protection and valorisation of research results in the field of Architecture and Construction
Nov 13, 2024
On November 19 at 9:30 a conference entitled Protection and valorization of research results in the field of Architecture and Construction will take place. The aim of this conference is to promote the protection and valorization of research projects in the field of Architecture and Construction, a research sector of the UPC where the need to provide protection options to facilitate an effective valorization strategy has been detected.
The conference will begin with the welcome of the Vice-rector for Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Climent Molins Borrell. Next, Albert Roma, from the Pons IP patent agency, will offer a theoretical session focused on the protection of intellectual and industrial property, with examples of research results and adequate protection strategies.
A presentation of experiences within the UPC will follow, which will give way to a round table entitled Protect to bring your solution to the market, moderated by Eva Villalón, head of valorization of the Innovation Management Service. Cristina Pardal, professor of Architectural Technology, and Albert de la Fuente, professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as Albert Roma himself, will participate. Each participant will have ten minutes to present their point of view, and the subsequent debate will offer a complete overview of the advantages of protecting research results to facilitate their commercialization.
The session can be followed both in person, in the ETSAB Degrees Room (Diagonal 649), and in telematic format. To attend, it is necessary to fill in the following registration form..
