ETSAV inaugurates the exhibition of the BIBLIOMAT project.

On November 27, 2025, at 12 noon, it was inaugurated in the ETSAV hall, in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The exhibition of the BIBLIOMAT project, within the framework of EDC (Common Teaching Space). The event brought together members of the university community interested in teaching innovation and learning the materials of architecture.  

During the inauguration, the members of the project team explained the initiative promoted by the Department of Architectural Technology in collaboration with the ETSAV Library, with the support and reception of the center. The aim of bringing construction materials and products closer to architecture students was also explained through the orderly collection of physical samples available on loan to the library. 




The exhibition showed a first selection of up to 30 materials, each accompanied by an accessible guide based on its QR code, prepared by the students, with technical and usage information. Thus seeking a proposal that aims to improve the practical and critical learning of future architects, facilitating direct contact with construction materials. 

The event concluded with the speech of the professor and doctor Albert Cuchí, who presented a reflection on the currentity of materials in the teaching of architecture and how to incorporate the need for new teaching tools, connecting practice and theory. 




With this exhibition, in collaboration with the Department of Architectural Technology, the Galaxy Project and the ETSAV Library, he managed to launch a new teaching initiative that is committed to transforming the learning of materials, reinforcing the training of students.
