The complexity of the study of heritage buildings has become a subject of academic study that has resulted in proven and maintained techniques over the years. The new requirements for sustainability, security, conservation and dissemination together with the advances in the digitalisation of buildings opened the doors to new technological perspectives on heritage.

Researchers from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya using the work developed in the VIMAC group of the QURBIS research group, REARQ-UPC together with the PAAD research group of the RWTH Aachen University will explain the new lines of research that are opened for the study of historical buildings through the use of simulations and new technologies.
