Numerous winners of our department

Nombrosos professors han rebut premis i reconeixements en diversos àmbits.

Marta Domènech, from the Department of Architectural Projects, and David López i Còssima Cornadó, from the Department of Architectural Technology, all of them from the ETSAB, have been awarded at the Premis de Recerca Científica a Reptes Urbans a la Ciutat de Barcelona with the project “CO-HABITEM BARCELONA: five case studies in Ciutat Vella for urban reuse and the promotion of innovative production models”. The prize is awarded by Barcelona City Council.

Marta Domènech and David López López have also been awarded at the Premis AJAC XIIin the field of Research and / or Theory of Architecture with the proposal "Siza in Berlin" and have received a mention in the competition for the exhibition of the Premis AJAC XII with the proposal "The moon in your pocket", awarded by the Association of Young Architects of Catalonia.

Pilar Garcia Almirall, from the Department of Architectural Technology at the ETSAB, has received the Medalla Narcís Monturiol for scientific and technological merit.

José Manuel Vicente Gómez Soberón, from the Department of Architectural Technology at the Barcelona School of Building Construction (EPSEB), has been recognized as a Investigador  Nacional Nivel I by the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI de México). This recognition is granted by the Federal Government, after evaluating the scientific and training value according to the criteria of the National Council of Science and Technology.

Carlos Marmolejo Duarte, from the Department of Architectural Technology at ETSAB and researcher at the Center for Land Policy and Valuations (CPSV), has received the Editor's Choice Paper for the work The Relevance of EPC Labels in the Spanish Residential Market : The Perspective of Real Estate Agents ”, published in Buildings magazine and selected for its impact and novelty.

Premi a la iniciativa docent to the project Taller en Fusta Escala 1:1, by professors Queralt Garriga Gimeno, from the Department of Architectural Projects, and Judit Taberna Torres from the Department of Architectural Representation, and professors Jorge Blasco Miguel, from the Department of Technology of Architecture, David Hernández Falagan, of the Department of Theory and History of Architecture and Communication Techniques.

Posthumous special Honorable Mention in the teaching career of Professor Joaquín Montón Lecumberri, of the Department of Architectural Technology and teacher at the Barcelona School of Building Construction (EPSEB) until his transfer in July 2020.
