Pilar Garcia-Almirall awarded the Narcís Monturiol Medal 2020.

Pilar Garcia-Almirall, director of our department, was awarded the Narcís Monturiol Medal on July 21 for her contributions during her professional career.

Pilar Garcia-Almirall received her PhD in Architecture in 1998 and was awarded an extraordinary prize by the UPC at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). She is the director of the Department of Architectural Technology at the University. Professor of Architectural Constructions since 2009, she has been in charge of the Virtual City Modeling Laboratory, currently called Virtual Innovation Modeling the Architecture and the City Lab (VIMAC) and linked to the ETSAB, for nearly 20 years. From this laboratory he has promoted the integration of new technologies in teaching and research in architecture.

The awards will be presented on November 4, at 17.30 h, at the Generalitat de Catalunya and can be followed live on YouTube.
