The CSCAE ARCHITECTURE Awards have been presented these days, awards that have been formulated and that this year have been directed to recognize the best of architecture and urbanism, the most social, cultural and sustainable values of architecture and urbanism have been awarded, putting the focus on their effects on health, welfare and safety of people, as well as on the sustainability of the planet.

A new positioning of architecture that integrates all disciplines, the agents that make it possible, and that projects it as one of the most relevant values of the welfare of people.

In this context, trained professionals and faculty of architecture schools of the UPC have been well represented. Congratulations to the distinguished and awarded!

I would like to thank the President of the CSCAE Marta Vall-llossera and her team for inviting me to participate as director of the Department of Architectural Technology in such a difficult task of selection, a satisfaction the welcome and discussions among the members of the tribunal. There is a strong agreement that it is time to value and make visible this professional field, with all the disciplines that make it possible, defending the professional attributions that distinguish us Spanish professionals from the rest of Europe, a task that we must undertake together with the professional associations and also in the academic university environment.
